Abstract:
To provide a method for forming a picture frame layer for display without using any additional display memory at all.
A picture frame for display is provided without using any additional display memory at all. A multiplexer is arranged between a display controller output and a display device. Twelve programmable values are available which are used to control the multiplexer. Those twelve parameters are held in registers of a display controller. A picture frame of arbitrary size can be arranged on an LCD panel by loading parameters in those registers. The color and attribute of the picture frame can be corrected to meet an arbitrary display demand.
