Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the picture image data printed freely controllable and to attain the printing function of high-quality picture images at low cost as for the printing technique of the picture images controlled by the picture image controller.
CONSTITUTION: The RGB line memory section of a RGB buffer section 415 is written with the RGB data for one field inputted from a color look-up table section 409. The external CPU supplies addresses from a CPU interface section 401 to a RGB buffer section 415 through an address bus 416, for example, in the horizontal blanking period. As the result of this, the RGB data for one line is outputted from a RGB buffer section 415 to an external work RAM through a data bus 417. This operation is repeated for each horizontal line, and printing processing is carried out for this RGB data transferred to the work RAM. At the time of printing, the picture image data outputted from a priority controller section 408 is controlled not to include the picture image data, such as icon, constituting the fundamental picture image.
