To modulate a beam pattern by actuating plural gobos concurrently to be changed, thereby to concurrently adjust both the sides of directions of the gobos for selecting a gobo pattern or a selected gobo pattern.
A shading plate carrier 325 is supporting a set of individual gobo units 330 at the peripheral part of the carrier 325, to be rotated by a motor MG, controlled by a gobo selecting system 390, to place one selected gobo unit 330 on a seat 361 in a light path. The carrier 325 is controlled by an opened or closed loop analog, digital, or hybrid motor control system constituted of and controlled by a lamp mechanism and a lighting control device. The shading plate carrier 325 includes a sun gear 345, and the sun gear 345 is engaged with the shading plate gear 335 arranged in the periphery of the gobo unit. A beam pattern can be modulated by positioning the selected gobo in the projection gate seat 361 by the shading plate carrier 325, to be rotated by the sun gear 345.
