PURPOSE: To obtain position information on picture information simultaneously with the input of the picture information, by detecting a position mark from the output difference between two semiconductor sensors having different optical filters on their image pickup surfaces.
CONSTITUTION: Reflected light from an original form 3 lighted by illumination light sources 12a and 12b is guided to two semiconductor sensors 15a and 15b through an objective lens 13 and a half-mirror 14. Those semiconductor sensors 15a and 15b have optical fibers 16a and 16b having different optical characteristics on their image pickup surfaces. when those optical fibers 16a and 16b use a red and a green filter respectively and a red position mark is present on the original form 3, this position mark is not sensed by the optical sensor 15a and sensed by only the optical sensor 15b. Therefore, the output of a differentiator 17 for obtaining the difference between their outputs is used as a position mark signal and on the basis of this position information, screen position control to picture information is performed.
