Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a difference in color caused between a color picture displayed in editing and a picture outputted actually.
CONSTITUTION: A picture editing section 12 edits picture data, a CRT 14 displays picture being edited. At the time, a sensor 13b measures temperature of an electron gun of the CRT 14 giving a large effect to a display characteristic. When temperature of the electron gun measured by the sensor 13b is varied, the editing section 12 finds variation quantity of a color value corresponding to the variation quantity, and controls internal adjustor 151-153 to cancel variation quantity of the color value. Thereby, a picture displayed by the CRT 14 reproduces faithfully the color value of picture data being edited.
