Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain recording with a number less than the number of color separation images by applying various picture processings after color separation and in the stage before multi-value processing. CONSTITUTION:Digital picture signals VR, VC subjected to shading correction are fed to a color discrimination circuit 35, where they are discriminated into plural color signals. Then the result is fed to a color ghost correction means 300 of the next stage, in which color ghost in the main scanning direction (horizontal scanning direction) and in the subscanning direction (drum rotating direction) is corrected. An area extraction circuit 500 detects an original area marked on an original by a color marker and records the required color separation image (in this example, m=3) in a required color (n is 2 or below). Thus, the area extraction circuit 500 designates a recording color and when the color marker exists, a signal representing an area surrounded by the color marker (area signal) is outputted and the signal enters an extraction/delete/pointing out circuit 420.
