Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain writing and reading for a buffer memory with low power consumption following an A/D converted data speed.
SOLUTION: In this picture processor, a video from a camera 6 is transmitted through an A/D converter 7, and an obtained picture signal is temporarily written in an RAM 4, and read to a processing part 8 for operating a picture processing. This device is provided with a semiconductor switch 1 which selects either a 5V power source from a power source 9 or a 3V power source obtained through a constant voltage regulator IC as a power supply voltage to be supplied to the RAM 4, and a memory controlling part 5 which operates writing in a prescribed cycle time in the RAM 4 when the 5V power supply voltage is selected, and operates reading in a longer cycle time than the prescribed cycle time from the RAM 4 when the 3V power supply voltage is selected.
