PURPOSE: To rotate a picture, to make a mirror image into an image or to execute picture editing by means of combining them on a real time basis.

CONSTITUTION: Color picture data by four picture elements x four lines is set to be one block and it is written into a picture memory 201 in accordance with an address signal from an address counter 204. At the time of reading, written blocks are respectively and independently time division-processed for respective colors and they are read in accordance with the address signal from the address counter 204 within respective division processing time. At that time, addresses for the respective blacks are composed of the combination of a main scan address and an auxiliary scan address, the both addresses can be counted up/down, the both addresses can be exchanged and the arbitrary combination of the controls can be controlled in the address counter 204. At the time of writing and reading, address count control and exchanged control, which follow the desired output image, can be executed.
