Title:
PICTURE PROCESSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59161978
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reproduce color pictures of high quality by reading an original picture after separating into plural chrominance signals and applying the shading compensation to each of read colors.

CONSTITUTION: The 8-bit digital signals of Y, M and C which underwent the photoelectric conversion by a CCD photodetecting unit (not shown in the diagram) and then digitization to be turned into complementary signals of B, G and R are applied to shading compensating ROMs 130-1, 130-3 and 130-5 respectively. While the shading data obtained when a white color correcting plate (not shown in the diagram) is read are stored in shading ROMs 130-2, 130-4 and 130-6. Then each shading compensating ROM performs an operation with reference to the shading data. Thus the signals underwent the shading compensation are outputted in the form of 8-bit digital picture signals through terminals 01∼08. Then the γ compensation, the masking processing, the multi-gradation processing, etc. are carried out, and a binary coded signal underwent the modulation of pulse width is supplied to a laser modulating unit.
