PURPOSE: To improve the handling in separation by making a thin film which contacts an image on a recording sheet whose picture quality is to be improved larger than the recording sheet and uniting the film at one end side of a base sheet positioned at the opposite side.

CONSTITUTION: A sheet for picture quality improvement consists of base paper 3 and the thin film 4. An chromatic tone image 2 is fixed and formed on the surface of a transparent film 1. The film 4 superposed on the base paper 3 at one end side has one tip side adhered at a joint part 5, one side end of the base paper 3 is positioned at the opposite side of the joint part 5 so that an end part 4c is wound, and the other end 4a is formed to size larger than the base paper 3 and further the sheet 1. The film 1 is inserted and the film 4 is superposed from above and clamped and conveyed between rollers 6 and 7. At this time, the surface of the image 2 at the side of the film 4 is fused and the film is separated after the image 2 becomes cool. Thus, the handling in separation is improved to obtain an image of good quality securely.
