Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the reader small and to improve the operability by reading a picture by the original moving system in matching with the automatic carrying of the sheet original and reading a picture from a book original with the picture read means moving system.
CONSTITUTION: When a sheet original is copied, the sheet original sent automatically is reversed via a turn-roller 101d and reaches a read section. A carriage 101g is carried to a read section to read a picture of the sheet original. That is, the original picture is read by the original moving system. In the case of copying a book original, an extract section (B section) to read a copy original is extracted by a required wavelength in matching with the size of the book original and the book original is set on a contact glass 101f. When a copy start key on an operation panel is depressed, a scanner control section reads the book original while moving the carriage 101g located on a home position P1 extracted with the section B toward the depth of the reader.
