Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain reading of a transmissive original without using a large sized cylinder bearing and complicated light source mechanism by arranging decomposition system for original reading and a light source to the outside of the transparent original support cylinder turning the light source. CONSTITUTION:A condenser lens 4 is provided to a lamp house 1 and the light of the light source 2 is led to a transparent cylinder 6 as a luminous flux 5. In selecting the focal length of the condenser lens 4 properly, the luminous flux 5 from the light source 2 is converged to a point 7 projected from the transparent cylinder 6. The decomposing system 9 is moved in parallel with the shaft of a transparent cylinder 6 by a subscanning screw 10. The original 8 is scanned by moving the subscanning part comprising the lamp house 1, a connection rod 11 and the decomposing system 9 by the subscanning screw 10 turned by the subscanning motor 13' while the cylinder 6 is driven by a main scanning motor 13.
