CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a display means, on which pictures 1a to 1f received through a communication line of a facsimile or the like and recognized characters 2a to 2f as the recognition result of the picture recognition processing are displayed, and a correcting means which corrects the recognition result by correct information inputted by an operator except in the case of normal execution of the picture recognition processing.
