Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily form a reduced picture of a size 1/i times as large as a supplied picture by repeating a processing for shifting to a next writing column every time when one picture element is written from a first block to the block of the same one row and the same column and shifting a next memory writing row every time when the data of (i) rows X (b) columns of the supplied picture is written in a memory. CONSTITUTION:When the picture data of (a) rows and (b) columns with (c) bits per one supplied picture element is written in the picture memories 101-103 constituted of (k) rows X (l) columns with (n) bits per one picture element to obtain the reduced picture of the size 1/i times, a first processing shifting to the next writing column every time when one picture element is orderly written from the first block to the ith block of the same row and the same column, and the second processing for shifting to the next memory writing row every time when the data of (i) rows X (b) columns of the supplied picture is written in the memory are repeated. Thereby, the reduced picture of the size 1/i times as large as the supplied picture can be formed in respective arbitrary blocks.
