Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the quality of characters by means of picture element interpolation, by selecting the rate of magnification of character and graphic patterns stored in a pattern generator and the method for picture element interpolation depending on the density of picture elements at the terminal and making the size of outputs of terminals having high picture element density easy to see. CONSTITUTION:An information processor 9 checks for a signal line 19, and when a control information reception circuit 11 is at reception stage, the processor 9 transfers the control information for picture element density and number of picture element toward main and sub-scanning directions of a terminal to the circuit 11 and when a decoder circuit 12 is at reception state, the output of the circuit 11 is transferred to the circuit 12 is at reception state, the output of the circuit 11 is transferred to the circuit 12. This circuit 12 decodes the control information and discriminates the rate of magnification, the interpolation system and the number of picture elements at a terminal 10. The output discriminated at the circuit 12 is applied to a character pattern magnification circuit 15, a picture element interpolation circuit 16 and an editing output circuit 17 from signal lines 22-24 respectively, selects a graphic pattern from a character pattern generating circuit 14 depending on the density of picture elements at the terminal 10, and constitutes the size of output of the terminal 10 for the picture density as a size easy to see, allowing to improve the quality of characters by means of picture element interpolation.
