PURPOSE: To realize both the miniturization and the low power for the flying spot scanner which is fully digitized in comparison with the analog type scanner, at the same time eliminating completely the deterioration with age to increase the stability.

CONSTITUTION: The picture information equivalent to the screen of TV1 is memorized previously in digitization into nonvolatile fixed memory unit 1 such as the cassette tape recorder or the like. This picture information is read out in a low speed via the 1st reading circuit within timing generating part 5 and then memorized into volatile memory unit 2. This memorized picture information is then read out in a high speed via the 2nd reading circuit in circuit 5 and then compounded through code compounding circuit 3 with the standard color TV signals of the output side to be delivered through output terminal 6 via D/A converter 4 in the form of the standard color TV signals. Thus, miniature and large capacity device can be used as memory unit 1 which memorizes the picture information equivalent to the screen of TV1 because of the low-speed reading.
