Abstract:
PURPOSE: To map an input picture in various three-dimensional shapes with easy procedures by forming three-dimensional shape data based of shape data of an inputted three-dimensional shape and transforming the input picture based on this data.
CONSTITUTION: Input picture data VDIN10 is stored in an input picture memory 2 and is supplied to a mapping processing circuit 3. Meanwhile, the form of the upper section and that of the side sectional plane of a desired shape are inputted to an upper and side sectional plane input device 4. Parameters of the upper section inputted to this device 4 are inputted to a three-dimensional shape address calculating circuit 5 to calculate the three-dimensional shape. Addresses of its representative points are converted to inverse mapping coefficients by an inverse mapping coefficient calculating circuit 6, and they are supplied to a mapping processing circuit 3. Thus, the circuit 3 executes the mapping processing of the input picture inputted from the memory in accordance with inverse mapping coefficients to obtain an output picture of a two-dimensional plane.
