Abstract:
To provide a piecing method and an apparatus therefor in a spinning machine by which a sliver can efficiently be blown and a thickness of pieced section can be controlled when piecing.
This piecing method comprises blowing a pressurized air from the periphery of a spinning nozzle 22 in a twisting apparatus 17 to the sliver S so as to face thereto in the method for blowing the pressurized air to the sliver S and guiding the sliver S to a suction tube 34 installed between the twisting apparatus 17 and a drafting apparatus 10 to suck the sliver S for piecing a source yarn Y reversely threaded to the twisting apparatus 17 and the sliver S from the drafting apparatus 10.
