Title:
PIER STUD STRUCTURAL BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003213966
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a pier stud structural body without incurring the decline of bearing strength and fatigue performance even if bending load repeatedly acts on a steel pipe column over a long period.

The base section of the steel pipe column 10 is fixed to a base plate 11 by a cylindrical body 13 having vertical ribs 17 welded to the outside. The upper end face of the cylindrical body 11 is made as a gentle uneven face 14 formed of a continuous curved face, and stress concentration is prevented when the bending load is applied to the steel pipe column 10. Preferably, the vertical rib 17 is arranged under a recess section 15.
