Abstract:
To provide a device for piercing, grooving, embossing or perforating paper material or the like in a sheet-fed rotary printing machine and aiming at easily protecting several different press cylinder surfaces.
A protection foil 6 is formed as a magnetic foil in order to easily coat the protection foil 6 necessary for further processing on a counter press cylinder 5. The device of the invention has a fixing member for holding an end of the protection foil 6 on the counter press cylinder 5. The protection foil is directly applied on the surface of the counter press cylinder or is provided on a coating forming the surface of the counter press cylinder 5 and repelling ink.
