Title:
PIEZO-ELECTRIC SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03179228
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a piezo-electric sensor which is applicable in a wide temperature range and under a sharp change in temperature by a method wherein a piezo-electric ceramic is bonded on a support plate with an elastic adhesive and a two-split electrode divided equally in area is attached to the surface thereof with a direction of polarization between surface and rear electrodes opposite between two surface electrodes, from which a lead is drawn. CONSTITUTION:A piezo-electric ceramic 2 is subjected to a polarization processing in such a manner that directions 5 and 6 of polarizing a surface/rear electrode 3 among those 3 and 4. An adhesive 7 is an elastic silicon based one to absorb a distortion as caused by a difference in thermal expansion coefficient between a support plate 1 and the piezo-electric ceramic 2. A lead 8 is connected to the two surface electrodes 3 to extract an electric charge generated from the piezo-electric ceramic 2 as caused by a temperature change. With such an arrangement, as the lead is drawn from the surface thereby preventing cracking and peeling of the ceramic, a disconnection of the lead and the like even during an assembling or in any sudden change in temperature.
