Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the composite material with high sensitivity by mixing a specific amount of an activating/processing aid agent, magnesium oxide, and a plasticizer to an uncured polar elastomer chloroprene rubber respectively, adding piezoceramic crystal powder, magnesium oxide and a sulphur-containing chloroprene rubber curing agent to the mixture, molding and curing the resulting mixture, and applying a DC electric field thereto. CONSTITUTION: An uncured polar elastomer chloroprene rubber is given to a mixer, in which 2.5-7.5phr of an activating/processing aid agent and 2-6phr of magnesium oxide are added respectively to the rubber. Then, 30 to 50phr of an aliphatic oily plasticizer is added and 1,750-3,000phr of piezoceramic crystal powder consisting of a mixer of a lead titanium and a zirconium is mixed. Then, 2.5-7.5phr of zinc oxide and 0.5-1phr of a sulphur-containing chloroprene rubber curing agent are added to the composition, it is molded by rolling, extrusion or injection and the finished material is heated and cured. An electrode is formed to both sides of the molded product, a DC electric field is applied to the electrodes to orientate the piezoceramic crystals in the polarization axis. Thus, the composite material with high sensitivity is obtained.
