PURPOSE: To attain miniaturization, lightening and high precision, to enable drive at low voltage and to obtain a large quantity of displacement in the biaxial direction by sticking and fixing piezoelectric transverse effect elements to each of two arms constituting an L-shaped elastic member and extending at approximately a right angle.

CONSTITUTION: Piezoelectirc displacement means 16, 17 displaying a piezoelectric transverse effect are each stuck and fastened to two arms 12A, 12B organizing an L-shaped elastic member 12 and extending at approximately a right angle. The piezoelectric displacement means 16 is shrunk when voltage is applied at the same polarity as the direction of polarization A to the piezoelectric displacement means 16, and the piezoelectric displacement means 16 is elongated when voltage is applied at polarity reverse to the direction of polarization A. Likewise, the piezoelectric displacement means 17 is expanded or contracted by the application of voltage to the piezoelectric displacement means 17. Accordingly, a unit 10 can be displacement in the arbitrary directions in response to applied voltage to the piezoelectric displacement means 16, 17.
