Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent fluctuation of the initial value of oil quantity so as to secure long-hour stable operation of the above-mentioned actuator by automatically supplementing leaked oil with oil from a sub oil chamber when hydraulic oil in the main oil chamber of the actuator in the caption decreases by oil spillage. CONSTITUTION:The piezoelectric element actuator suitably used in expansion valves of an air-conditioning system has a main oil chamber (a) installed atop a piston 3 powered by a piezoelectric element which is fixed at a cylinder 2a, and a sub oil chamber (b) installed on the bottom of a sub piston 10 which is fitted in a sub cylinder 2b above the main oil chamber (a) and energized downward by a spring 14. Both oil chambers (a) and (b) are connected to each other through a communicating hole 13 with a taper section 12, with which a steel ball energized through a spring 16 is brought in pressure contact, totally constituting a check valve mechanism 17. This mechanism can control spring strength of the springs 14, 16, enabling a proper supplement of oil from the sub oil chamber (b) to the main oil chamber (a).
