Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a piezoelectronic element and a piezoelectric material having a proper piezoelectric effect, which is applicable in a wide temperature range.
CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric material containing a chiral compd. having a smectic structure and a polymer network structure is characterized by having a permanently oriented dipole. And the piezoelectric element having this piezoelectric material 1 interposed between at least two electrodes 2, 3 has such a characteristic that the polymer network structure has a permanently oriented dipole.
