Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric material, having both high piezo-electric constant and specific band, capable of being stably produced, an ultrasonic transducer including the same, and an ultrasonic imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric material 130, having no translational symmetry (periodicity), containing a quasi-crystal of a crystal structure having high orneriness in an atomic arrangement is prepared. The piezoelectric material 130 may be an inorganic material or an organic material. A piezo-electric element of an ultrasonic transducer 100 is constituted of the piezoelectric material 130. The ultrasonic transducer 100 is mounted to the ultrasonic imaging apparatus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
