PURPOSE: To obtain a novel piezoelectric transformer filter having wide band and high efficiency frequency characteristics in a high frequency band.
CONSTITUTION: Piezoelectric porcelain transformers 10, 11 have two laminates in which a plurality of inner electrode layers 12, 13 and piezoelectric porcelain layers alternately laminated in such a manner that the porcelain layers adjacent through the layers 12, 13 are polarized reversely to one another and high impedance parts are polarized reversely to one another. The inner electrodes 12 of low impedance parts are connected at every other layer to one of two electric terminals, and the other electrode terminal is connected to the other terminal. Another transformers 10, 11 connected similarly are connected to electrode terminals 14, 15, and the electrodes 13 of the high impedance parts are connected in parallel. A piezoelectric porcelain transformer filter can be used in a wide band of high frequency band of several MHz or more, and has a small size and a high efficiency to remarkably contribute to a reduction in size of the filter.
