PURPOSE: To make the size of a piezoelectric component small, to make the height of the component low and to enhance the reliability by allowing a piezoelectric resonator element to provide a vibration part, a support and a coupling part and coupling the vibration part with the support being substantially a stationary part.

CONSTITUTION: A vibrator part 14, a support part 16 and coupling parts 15a, 15b of the piezoelectric resonator element 11 are formed integrally by forming processing of one piezoelectric substrate. The vibration part 14 is substantially a stationary part and coupled with the support 16 via the coupling parts 15a, 15b, then the vibration in the vibration part 14 is not suppressed and production of ripple or the like is not caused and the characteristic is enhanced. Moreover, protection cases 17a, 17b has a support 19a at its peripheral part and a recessed part 19b being a cavity at assembling. Then each process at the manufacture of the piezoelectric component 10 is automated and the cost is reduced and the yield is improved. Since the piezoelectric element 11 is arranged in parallel with the cases 17a, 17b, the height of the component 10 is made low and the size of the component 10 is made small and the reliability is improved.
