PURPOSE: To obtain the piezoelectric resonator which has unwanted vibrations and ripples suppressed and also has excellent characteristics.

CONSTITUTION: The piezoelectric resonator is constituted by forming vibration electrodes 6 and 8 on the top and reverse surfaces of a piezoelectric substrate 1 at opposite positions and terminal electrodes 2 and 3 at the center part and both end parts of the piezoelectric substrate 1, connecting lead terminals 14-16 to the terminal electrodes 2 and 3, and fitting elastic bodies to the vibration electrodes 6-8; and the terminal electrodes 2 and 3 at both the end parts of the piezoelectric substrate 1 are formed up to the reverse surface through side end surfaces of the piezoelectric substrate 1. The lead terminals are soldered on the top and reverse surfaces of the terminal electrodes 2 and 3.
