Title:
PIEZOELECTRIC TRANSDUCER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06133386
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a multi-mode underwater sound scope which can stand a high pressure. CONSTITUTION: A hollow cylindrical body 2 which has a plurality of electrodes and is made of a piezoelectric material is blocked by a rigid pillar body 4 and a clearance sufficient to leave the wall of the cylindrical body 2 in a free state is formed between the bodies 2 and 4. In two grooves 41 and 42 which are formed at the end sections of the cylindrical body 2, annular sealing materials 51 and 52 having square cross sections are laid. Each sealing material 51 and 52 has an annular web 511 supported by the annular internal surface of the cylindrical body 2 and ring-like flat webs 512 which are respectively supported by both ends of the cylindrical body 2 and protruded outward from the annular web 511. A high-pressure transducer thus obtained has such a quality that is required for a multi-mode underwater sound scope which can stand a high pressure.
