Title:
PIEZOELECTRIC TYPE FAN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0333500
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accomplish a small-sized piezo fan, which provides a large wind quantity and is easy to drive, by furnishing a piezo vibrator and a plurality of blades formed on the main surface of the piezo vibrator in such a way as upright approximately.

CONSTITUTION: A piezo element 12 performs bending vibration with the nodal point as the center by supporting a support 18 and giving a drive signal to a piezo element 16. This bending vibration gives vibration to a blade 20, which allows a piezo fan 10 to blow the wind. Because this piezo fan 10 is supported near the nodal point of the vibrating body 14, the vibration loss is less. Also because the bending vibration of the piezo vibrator 12 is converted to vibration of the blade 20 effectively, it is possible to enlarge the wind quantity. The size in the blowing direction of the piezo fan 10 depends upon the thickness of the piezo vibrator 12 and the length of the blade 20, so that it can be embodied in a small size compared with a conventional piezo fan.
