Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the constitution of a piezoelectric vibrator reduced in the cost while maintaining conventional performance, maintained or improved in thin and compact features and suitable also to the mounting of an SMD and to provide a piezoelectric vibrator manufacturing method attaining further the cost reduction by executing work up to a process immediately before a final process in a set state of hundred to thousand units.
SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric vibrator, an inner frame 7 consisting of a ceramic material and having a through hole is fixed to a lower case 2 consisting of plate-like resin material of which upper surface excluding the near part of the periphery of a through hole for guiding the oscillation terminal of a piezoelectric vibration piece 1 to the external is covered with a metallic layer, the vibration piece 1 is mounted on the inner frame 7 and a metallic cover 3 is brazed to the peripheral edge part of the metallic layer of the lower case 2. The lower case 2 and the cover 3 are dealed as an aggregate up to a sealing process, and finally the aggregate is cut off and separated to individual vibrators.
