Title:
PIEZOELECTRIC WIND POWER GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3951438
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve energy conversion efficiency with a relatively simple and small device by providing vortex generating members for generating air vortexes vibrating vibration plates when they are fixed to the vibration plates and receive wind, and extracting electric power from piezoelectric elements with the vibration of the vibration plates.
SOLUTION: A rod 4 indicating the direction of wind is fixed to the upper end of a rotary shaft 3 journalled to a bearing 2. The tip of the rod 4 is formed as a conical tip section 4a serving as an arrow indicating the windward direction, and two vibration plates 5, 6 are fixed to the rear end of the rod 4. Both vibration plates 5, 6 are made of a slender and rectangular plate-like member bend-vibratable along the longitudinal direction, and they are connected by a connection section 7 on the front end side. The rear end sections of both vibration plates 5, 6 are folded to form vortex generating members 5a, 6a. Two piezoelectric elements 8, 9 are stuck at the longitudinal centers of both vibration plates 5, 6, vibration energy is converted into electric energy by the piezoelectric effect caused by vibration, and it is extracted as electric power.
