To provide a pig for insertion in a pipe and a traction method for the pig for insertion in a pipe to simply prevent the occurrence of a hook to the interior of a piping and improve working efficiency and reduce a work executing cost.
First and second coupling parts 6a and 6b to differently mount first and second rigging 2 and 3 to pull a pipe in the same direction are arranged in the positions separated away from each other of a body surface part 1a. Further, when, in a piping, hooking is caused to occur during traction by the first rigging 2 for traction or both the first and second rigging 2 and 3, traction operation is suspended. By pulling the second rigging 3 for traction, the direction of the first coupling part 6a is changed and after hooking is released, initial traction operation is restarted.
