To provide a pig which performs the cleaning or coating of an inner face despite the non-circular shape of a section of an object or a variation in the middle of the sectional shape or a bore, provided, however, that the object is cylindrical as well as a method of using the pig.
The pig 3 has an average dimension equivalent to 3-30% of the internal dimension of the cylindrical object 1 intended for cleaning/coating whose inner face is cleaned or coated. In addition, the pig 3 for cleaning or coating is characterized in that its face or part coming into contact with the inner face of the object 1 is not structurally defined and its position is not fixed in the proceeding direction when the pig 3 is moved through the object 1. Further, as a cleaning/coating method, the inner face of the object 1 is cleaned or coated by a suction method or a pressure extrusion method to move a many number of the pigs 3 simultaneously through the object 1.
