Abstract:
To provide a pigment composition which enables formation of a near-infrared cut filter that can achieve both shielding property of near-infrared rays at a wavelength of 680-900 nm and permeability in a visible region.SOLUTION: A pigment composition contains a squarylium-based compound (a) having a chemical structure represented by the following formula (1), and a squarylium-based compound (b) other than the squarylium-based compound (a), where the squarylium-based compound (b) has an absorption maximum at a wavelength of 680-900 nm, and a molar absorption coefficient in the absorption maximum of 1.0×105 or more. In the formula (1), R1 represents an aliphatic hydrocarbon group that may have a substituent, or an aromatic ring group that may have a substituent. The naphthalene ring in the formula (1) may have an arbitrary substituent, and may have a condensed ring. A represents an aromatic ring group that may have a substituent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
