PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment composition in which light fading property is suppressed.SOLUTION: There is provided a pigment composition in which a pigment component is enclosed in nanoparticles of one or more molecules selected from the group consisting of in-vivo degradable molecules and biocompatible molecules. One or more nanoparticles can be selected from the group consisting of PLGA nanoparticles, HPC nanoparticles and chitosan nanoparticles. One or more pigment components can be selected from the group consisting of a red pigment, a yellow pigment and a green pigment. One or more red components can be selected from the group consisting of a monascus color, a tomato pigment, a capsicum pigment, a cochineal pigment, a safflower red pigment, a gardenia red pigment, beet red, a grape pericarp pigment, a perilla pigment and a Haematococcus algae pigment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
