Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersed aq. ink compsn. giving reliable printing performance and esp. an image of excellent quality on an sheet of ordinary paper.
SOLUTION: An ink compsn. is prepared using a polyuronic acid derivative, which is formed by a covalent bond of a hydrophobic polymer to a reduced end of a polyuronic acid, as a pigment eispersant, and it is used as an ink compsn, for this compsn. The polyuronic acid mainly comprises a 1,4bounded polygalacturonic acid, a polyguluronic acid, or a polyiduronic acid, or their mixed polymers.
