To obtain the subject composition useful as a color filter, etc., excellent in storage stability, dispersion stability, high in light screening property, improved in flatness and smoothness of coated film, by using a specific pigment mixture as a light-screening material.
This composition comprises (A) a light-screening material and (B) a polymer material. A pigment mixture composed of (i) an organic pigment and (ii) a titanium oxide pigment and/or a titanium oxynitride is used as the component A. Preferably, the blending weight ratio of the components (i) and (ii) is (20-80):(80-20), the weight ratio of the component B to the component A is (80-30):(20-70) and the component (i) is a perylene-based, a phthalocyanine- based, an anthraquinone-based pigments, to be concrete, the perylene-based pigment such as perylene black.
