This invention provides a pigment dispersant of a colored composition and a colored composition including the pigment dispersant capable of providing excellent preservation stability in which an increase in viscosity is suppressed and even when an epoxy group-containing component is contained in a coated film formation component. The pigment dispersant comprises a pigment, a dispersant and a solvent (excluding quaternary ammonium salt), wherein the dispersant is a block polymer having a linear structure with a first block having at least one kind selected from a constitutional unit represented by the formula (1), (2) and (2-2) at its end part and without basic group. (In the formula (1), R1a and R1b each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms or a monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, and at least one of them is not a hydrogen atom. R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.) (In the formula (2), R3 is a monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms containing an amido group which may have an N-H bond or a monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms containing an amido group having an N-H bond. R4 represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.) (In the formula (2-2), R29 and R45 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, or a monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, and at least one of which is not a hydrogen atom.
