To provide a pigment dispersion composition which can disperse a finely divided pigment in a form of primary particle, has excellent dispersion stability, and can form a colored coating having excellent contrast.
The pigment dispersion composition includes (a) a polymeric compound having at least one of repeating units selected from those expressed with general formula (I) and (II), (b) a resin which contains a main chain "P" having a nitrogen atom and a side chain which consists of an oligomer chain or polymer chain "Y" having a number average molecular weight of 500-1,000,000, (c) a pigment, and (d) an organic solvent. In the general formula (I) and (II), R1-R6 represent a hydrogen atom, X1 and X 2 represent -CO-, L1 and L 2 represent a divalent organic linking group, A1 and A 2 represent a monovalent organic group, m and n represent an integer of 2-8, and p and q represent an integer of 1-100.
