To provide a fine Yellow 12 preparing printing ink excellent in transparency and heat resistance.

This C. I. Pigment Yellow 12 is characterized by showing ≥0.94 and ≤1.80 half value width of peak intensity within 8.0 to 11.8° (2θ) in an X-ray diffraction measurement after drying the wet cake of the pigment at 90°C. The coupler components of the Pigment Yellow 12 are 70-100 mol acetoacetanilide, 0-30 mol% coupler component expressed by the following formula, and 0-10 mol% coupler component containing a polar group. The formula is: CH3COCH2CONH-X [wherein, X is phenyl group having a substituent selected from methyl, methoxy and chlorine atom].
