Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight pile fabric having a roughened yarn density.
SOLUTION: The ground texture of this pile fabric is the leno weave, the weft yarn in the leno weave comprises at least two shrink-free or low-shrinkage yarns 31, 32 and thermally or moist-shrinkable yarns 33 and they are softly twisted into a yarn. When the weaving is completed, the densities of the ground warp and the leno warp are 2-15 count/inch, while the weft density is 2-20 count/inch. After completion of the weaving, heat or moist is applied to the woven fabric, the yarns shrinkable with heat or moist 33 shrinks and other yarns form loops.
