To obtain pile fabric useful as loop fabric of hook-and-loop fastener, the body of garment, pocket fabric, sticker, sweeping fabric, etc., for cleaning and having design effect by forming loop pile so as to enable pale seeing through of the pattern onto base fabric having a pattern.

A loop pile 12 is formed using a synthetic fiber monofilament yarn on one face of base fabric 11 having a pattern 13 to provide the objective pile fabric 10 capable of palely seeing through the pattern 13 from the surface of the loop pile 12. Although the pattern can be formed by knitting the pile fabric and then printing to back face of the base fabric, the pattern can also be formed on the base fabric by using dyed yarn when pile fabric is knitted.
