The pile mat A for foot wiping comprises a large number of piles P (ratio of height/base part diameter of approximately 1/1) having upper half parts forming approximately hemispheric shape and lower half parts forming approximately cylindrical shapes densely arranged on a base fabric S. The base part of each pile P is bonded to the base fabric S. Each pile P is composed of a chenille yarn M made up of a non-water-absorbing polyester filament F having 0.3 denier as a decorative yarn.
