PURPOSE: To provide the pile mat having the gloss of deep and good color tones, excellent form stability and quality without having fallen hair by mainly forming fibers constituting pile yarn of composite fibers composed of the saponified matter of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and polyamide.

CONSTITUTION: The fibers constituting the pile yarn are mainly formed of the composite fibers (saponified Et.VAc/Pa composite fiber) composed of the saponified matter of the ethylene-vinyl acetate (saponified Et-VAc copolymer) and the polyamide. The ratio of the ethylene unit in the saponified Et-VAc copolymer is specified to 25 to 70mol% and ≥95mol% of the vinyl acetate unit is preferably saponified. The compounding ratio of the saponified Et-VAc copolymer and the polyamide in the composite fibers is preferably specified to the saponified Et-VAc copolymer: the polyamide =20:80 to 80:20 by weight.
