Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pile plain fabrics utilizing advantages in weaving a double pile fabric and having characteristics of the plain fabrics having a gauze touch feeling on the back surfaces of the pile fabrics in combination and to provide a method for producing the pile plain fabrics.
SOLUTION: The two pile plain fabrics are formed as follows. Continuous ground weft yarns of double woven fabrics X and Y are arranged so as to repeat a combination of one plain weaving weft yarn (a black circle mark) with two pile ground weft yarns (white circle marks) to form ground weft yarn rows 1, 2, 3, .... A plain weaving warp yarn V1 entangled with the ground weft yarns 5, 11, 16 and 17 is woven on the outside of the woven fabrics X and Y. A pile ground warp yarn W1 entangled with each of the ground weft yarns 3, 6, 9, 12, .... is woven on the inside in the woven fabric X and the pile ground warp yarn W1 entangled with each of the ground weft yarns 1, 4, 7, 10, ... is woven on the inside in the woven fabric Y. Furthermore, a pile warp yarn P1 is entangled with the pile ground weft yarns 1, 4, ..., 10 and 13 of the woven fabric X in reed spacings in odd numbers so as to be entangled with the pile ground weft yarns 6, 9, ..., 15 and 18 of the woven fabric Y. Thereby, the pile warp yarn P1 is crossed over both the woven fabrics X and Y. In reed spacings in even numbers, plain weaving warp yarns V2 are entangled with the ground weft yarns 2, 8, 14 and 15 of the woven fabrics X and Y. Pile ground warp yarns W2 and a pile warp yarn P2 in the reed spacings in even numbers are symmetrical to the reed spacings in odd numbers. The space between both the woven fabrics is cut open after the weaving to form the two pile plain fabrics.
