To provide a piling apparatus in relation to the apparatus for piling seedling containers on a pallet carrying seedlings in a state that seedlings taken out from seedling beds are stored in seedling containers, and capable of accurately adjusting the mutual positions of the piled seedling containers in placing one container on another container.

This apparatus is equipped with (A) a pair of front vertical rails 6 and (B) a pair of rear vertical rails 7 all guiding the up-and-down motion of a lifting apparatus. The pair of front vertical rails 6 are located on both sides of seedling containers to be lifted and the pair of back vertical rails 7 are located on both sides of seedling containers to be piled.
