PURPOSE: To securely drive a pile by a method in which the pile with a tip is penetrated into an excavated pit, a striking weight is inserted into the hollow of the pile, and the tip of the pile is struck by the weight under the condition that a weight is placed on the head of the pile.

CONSTITUTION: A pile 10 with a tip 15 is penetrated into an excavated pit 60, and a striking weight 40 i inserted into the hollow of the pile body 11 under the condition that a connector 41 is thrust through the hole 32 of a weight 30 for the pile head. The weight 30 is then placed on the pile head. When the weight 40 is lifted up and freely dropped by operating a winch 70, the striking face 20 of the tip 15 is struck by the weight 40 to penetrate the pile 10 into the ground.
