Abstract:
To prevent breaking of a pillar at side collision of a vehicle while suppressing increase of weight.
By a projection part 22F for forming a clearance formed on joint flanges 22A, 22B of a B pillar inner 22, a clearance 42 is formed between lower end edges 24D of the joint flanges 24A, 2B of a B pillar upper reinforcement 24 and joint flanges 22A, 22B of the B pillar inner 22. At side collision of the vehicle, the lower end edges 24D of the joint flanges 24A, 24B of the B pillar upper reinforcement 24 are not abutted on the joint flanges 22A, 22B of the B pillar inner 22.
